Since 2007, the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, the Office of Spiritual Civilization under the CPC Central Committee, the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, the Communist Youth League Central Committee, the All-China Women's Federation, and the Political Work Department of the Central Military Commission have jointly organized a national selection and commendation event for Moral Role Models every two years. This initiative vigorously promotes and practices the core socialist values, fully leverages the exemplary role of moral role models, carries forward traditional Chinese virtues, fosters new ethos and new trends of our times, and continuously enhances the ideological awareness, moral standards, and civilizational qualities of the people.
