Great practice gives rise to great spirit, and great spirit drives great undertakings. Not long ago, General Secretary Xi Jinping, at the symposium on promoting the comprehensive revitalization of Northeast China in the new era, emphasized the need to vigorously carry forward the spirit of the Northeast United Anti-Japanese Army, the Daqing Spirit (the “Iron Man” Spirit), and the Beidahuang Spirit, guiding Party members and cadres to establish a correct view of political achievements and inspiring their enthusiasm for work and entrepreneurship. He also stressed that we must firmly grasp the Northeast’s important mission in safeguarding the nation’s “five major securities.” In this new era and on this new journey, to ensure national security, we must inherit the red genes and carry forward the red lineage, drawing from the spirit of the Northeast United Anti-Japanese Army, the Daqing Spirit (the “Iron Man” Spirit), and the Beidahuang Spirit the vigorous strength needed for forging ahead and accomplishing great things.

“Spirit serves as a砥砺, and through the ages, we seek it here.” Practice has proven that the Chinese people’s enthusiasm, initiative, and creativity have been further unleashed; their ambition, fortitude, and confidence have reached unprecedented heights. The Party’s spirit, the military’s spirit, and the people’s spirit are all vibrant and uplifted—none of this would have been possible without the empowering force of self-confidence and self-reliance. The spirit of the Northeast Anti-Japanese United Army, the Daqing Spirit (the “Iron Man” Spirit), and the Beidahuang Spirit are vital components of the Communist Party of China’s spiritual lineage. They hold the “spiritual code” behind the Party’s repeated achievements in creating miracles for the people. The heroic spirit, soaring fighting will, and spirit of self-reliance embodied within them are powerful manifestations of the Chinese national spirit. On the path ahead, we must consciously draw strength from these great spirits to cultivate a spirit of perseverance and inspire our passion for work and entrepreneurship.
