Liaoning Zhongke Bioengineering Co., Ltd. held a groundbreaking ceremony in the Benxi Economic and Technological Development Zone.

　　On July 5, 2009, amid the sounds of gongs and drums and the crackling of firecrackers, Liaoning Zhongke Bioengineering Co., Ltd. held a groundbreaking ceremony in the Benxi City Economic and Technological Development Zone. Attending the ceremony were Mayor Jiang Rui, Vice Mayor Gao Shengping, and representatives from the Shenyang Branch of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Liang Bo Vice Director, Shenyang Institute of Applied Ecology, Chinese Academy of Sciences Ji Lan Zhu Secretary, Wu Zhijie The deputy director, along with representatives from the Liaoning Provincial Department of Science and Technology, the Shenyang Municipal Bureau of Science and Technology, the Benxi Economic and Technological Development Zone, and other relevant organizations and individuals, attended the groundbreaking ceremony.

 

　　Liaoning Zhongke Bioengineering Co., Ltd. is a limited liability company jointly established through the investment of five shareholders, including the Fertilizer Engineering Center of the Shenyang Institute of Applied Ecology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Shandong Shikefeng Chemical Co., Ltd. The company specializes in the research, development, production, and sales of pesticide detoxification enzymes and polymeric amino acids. The company’s total project investment amounts to 95.3 million yuan, and its site covers an area of 30,000 square meters. Relying on the technological expertise of the Shenyang Institute of Applied Ecology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, the company leverages the Shenyang Institute of Applied Ecology’s technological advantages in new fertilizers. Addressing current challenges in both domestic and international fertilizer markets and fertilization practices, the company employs bioengineering technologies to develop, produce, and promote biological fertilizer synergists—solving the problem of short-term effectiveness but low efficiency in fertilization and thereby boosting the development of China’s fertilizer industry. Additionally, drawing on the internationally advanced research results from the National 863 Project conducted by the Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, the company uses bioengineering techniques to develop and produce pesticide-degrading enzymes and formulate products capable of remediating soil pesticide contamination and removing pesticide residues from fruits and vegetables, thus improving the ecological environment and ensuring food safety.
